It’s no secret that The Roosevelt Hotel is one the best hotels in New Orleans. This afternoon my son and I continued our annual tradition by attending the New Orleans Teddy Bear Tea. This tea is definitely something that should be on your “must-do” list for the holiday season in New Orleans.

As always, the Crescent City Ballroom was transformed into a Winter Wonderland. This year the display included Teddy, the Roosevelt Bear.

My son enjoyed all of the pastries, especially the gingerbread men as he sipped on hot chocolate. Of course I had a mimosa or two, along with an assortment holiday sandwiches and tea. If your child has a peanut allergy (peanut butter and jelly is served), please let the staff know. The chef is always accomodating and offers substitutions.

The Teddy Bear Tea always begins with a parade to welcome Santa, Mrs. Claus, the Snow Princess and Rudolph. Mrs. Claus also informed us that there was a new elf to assist with the production of all of the iPhones that have been requested this year! Go figure!

Mrs. Claus had a captivating audience as she read The Night Before Christmas to all of us.

This tea is a perfect holiday event and a great opportunity to get family photos in so make sure you bring your camera!

This tea is great for boys and girls. My son is 3 and half years old and really enjoys it. It lasts for about and hour and a half. There are three types of seatings with a few more dates available through December 24. To make reservations, call The Roosevelt Holiday Line at (504) 335-3129 Monday – Friday from 8am – 6:30pm. Guests get to second line with Santa and friends in true New Orleans Christmas style and with leave with a special gift!

Be sure to make your reservation and don’t forget about the beautiful lobby display! Tell them NOLA Bougie sent ya!
