Essential oils have changed my life. We use them in every area of our house in multiple ways. Back a few months ago life was incredibly hectic. 3 women in one house (one being a 13 year old), managing a life altering illness, working full time, and homeschooling. To say that it has been crazy is an understatement. One day on Facebook an essential oil roller recipe popped up and it sounded AMAZING and I had the perfect roller bottle for it (with rose quartz crystals included). 5-10 drops of Stress Away, 5-10 drops of Valor, 5-10 drops of Frankincense and fill the rest with a carrier oil (I used Vit E oil). It sounded amazing. Before making it I wanted to research the individuals oils. I was desperate for something to help me. My mental health was suffering. Here is what I found.
Stress Away smells like a tropical beach vacation. It is calming, relaxing, brings forth clarity and focus and helps regulate emotions.
Valor calms panic attacks, reduces anxiety, helps with depression, boosts confidence and improves mental clarity.
Not only is Frankincense mentioned in the Bible over 52 times , but it was a gift the Wise Men gave to Baby Jesus. I figured if it were good enough for Him, it has to be good enough for me. It is considered the Holy Anointing oil in the Middle East and has been used in religious ceremonies for thousands of years. It is known for its grounding properties and helps with mental peace and relaxation. It is used to relieve anxiety, anger, stress. It is used during meditation to help us with feelings of unworthiness and insecurity.
After further research I was convinced that this roller bottle was exactly what I needed. I shook it up and started rolling away. Boy did it smell amazing. I apply it every day and carry it in my essential oil bag for on the go application. It has completely changed my mental space. I have always believed in “self care”, but recognize that it means something different in every season of my life. In this season it means ESSENTIAL OILS. As the mother of a special needs daughter, Self Care is Mental Health Care.
